Welcome to my website. My name is Tim Velgersdijk. Drummer and music addict.

My favourite drummers are Benny Greb, Eric Moore and Tony Taylor. My goal is to find a unique drumming style that is a perfect balance between virtuoso and groove playing.

I consider myself being an experienced drummer in the styles of Pop, Rock, Jazz, Reggae and Black Gospel.

Artists seem to like my way of playing because I have done quite a few freelance gigs for example with Jade Praize at Paradiso, Vondelpark Open Air Amsterdam, Djuwney at Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, Gospelband Ji-reh atTheater Spijkenisse, Bellita Carol at Theater Zuidplein Rotterdam, Joyce San Mateo (singer of Tom Browne) at Maassilo Rotterdam.

Besides playing drums I am also the founder of our band named RHY7HM. Our repertoire consists of well known pop songs that we perform in our own taste!

The ultimate dream that I have is to become a professional musician who travels all over the world to play cool music!

Biography

Born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in 2000.

At the age of 10 I started taking drum lessons. My parents surprised me with this beautiful present that I liked so much, I couldn’t think of anything else to do in my life.

From 2012 to 2015 I played the drums in an orchestra as well as in a drumband.

My first drum teacher was Ernst van Ee (drummer of Helloïse) who taught me the basic skills of rock drumming. After 3 years I went to a new drum teacher named Oscar Alblas (drummer of the band KONG). After 2 years I decided to find a coach to inspire me to get the best out of me. Since then I am following personal/drummer coaching with Juan van Emmerloot (drummer of Snowy White, Steve Lukather and Stef Burns).

Currently I’m studying at Codarts!

At this moment I am teaching drums to young kids and I have my own recording studio for drum tracking.
